Whitmer to Romney: Michigan Isn't Falling For Your Act

Lansing – In response to Republican Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney's visit to Michigan today, Senate Democratic Leader Gretchen Whitmer issued the following response:

“Mitt Romney continues to show he is out of touch with Michigan's middleclass families as he advocates for a return to the same failed policies that left Michigan's economy on the brink of disaster. Yet as our economy continues to rebound under President Obama's leadership, we now see Romney, the same man who said ˜Let Detroit Go Bankrupt,' claim credit for the rescue and recovery of our state. Romney may want to rewrite his own past on a daily basis, but it's clear that Michigan families aren't falling for his act.”
